Dexter is a very playful and friendly young dog. He came to Cedar Farm after spending several months at a vet’s office. A kind-hearted person had pulled him from one of the gassing shelters down east to save his life and paid for some boarding costs, but never came to get him. The vet reached out to rescue groups for assistance in placing Dexter and we were the lucky ones chosen to have Dexter come stay with us! He is the coolest dog and has been so much fun to have here with us but now it is time for Dexter to find a home of his own. Dexter has the short legs and body of a corgi and has some smooth-coat collie in his breed make up too. He is affectionate but not clingy. He is confident, self-assured and very smart. He excels at learning new things and is so much fun to hang out with! He loves to interact with his human friends and will certainly make the whole family smile with his happy, joyful personality. He gets along fine with other dogs and has done very well with our cats. He really pays them no attention. Dexter is a fantastic leash walker and enjoys car rides. He is crate and kennel trained and is housebroken. What more could you ask for in a canine companion! Please come meet Dexter at our adoption center in downtown Mocksville.
