Poor Bullwinkle was an owner surrender who lived on a chain for his first 14 months. Now, he is around 20 months old and enjoying learning what life is all about with no chains to hold him back. He is a Newfoundland mix around 60 pounds. He is a big, exuberant boy who is full of energy. He is learning to be leash trained and doing very well with it. Bullwinkle requires someone with lots of patience and experience with big dogs. No small children. No cats!!!! He gets along with other dogs of similar temperament, but sometimes he tends to be bossy. Bullwinkle Loves to play with a tennis ball and Loves to run. He is absolutely handsome! He is up to date on vaccines and neutered. Now he is just wishing for a family to love him and give him the kind of life he use to only dream of!

About Hickman Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission and focus is to benefit the lives of the animals and people in our county by providing for the humane treatment of pets thru foster care, appropriate medical care, rehabilitation of pets, comprehensive adoption coordination, consistent spay/neuter funding programs and public education with a goal of reducing the homeless pet population, irresponsible breeding and the prevention of cruelty and neglect to animals.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Since ALL of our funding is from donations (we are not supported by a government agency), fundraising and a few spay/neuter grants, we always need monetary donations and food and supply donations including straw and bedding material. With winter coming we could really use some more dog houses and tarps (used is welcome). Used crates are also always needed. Pick up can be arranged within a reasonable distance. Thank you for your support.

Come Meet Our Pets...
