Ebony is a 4 year old beautiful black Lab who is around 75 pounds with a smooth coat. He came into foster care as a puppy along with his four siblings, three of which have been adopted. They are friendly and loving with their foster family. They are pack-oriented and will transfer that nicely to faithfulness to his forever human pack. They would probably enjoy any other canine companionship in his forever home as well, but your company will be their favorite place to be. I have personally adopted their brother and he is quite possibly the most intelligent dog I've ever met! He is a medium-large dog close to 55 pounds. They would love the stability of a permanent home, either together or separately and you will be SO glad you adopted either one of them! Both have been altered and are fully vetted. Call 866-304-3352 or Email jeibrab@aol.com if you can help give Shine and/or Ebony the type of life they deserve!

About Hickman Humane Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission and focus is to benefit the lives of the animals and people in our county by providing for the humane treatment of pets thru foster care, appropriate medical care, rehabilitation of pets, comprehensive adoption coordination, consistent spay/neuter funding programs and public education with a goal of reducing the homeless pet population, irresponsible breeding and the prevention of cruelty and neglect to animals.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...

Since ALL of our funding is from donations (we are not supported by a government agency), fundraising and a few spay/neuter grants, we always need monetary donations and food and supply donations including straw and bedding material. With winter coming we could really use some more dog houses and tarps (used is welcome). Used crates are also always needed. Pick up can be arranged within a reasonable distance. Thank you for your support.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our pets are in foster homes with families to help them transition better into YOUR family. Please email our adoption coordinator at jeibrab@aol.com for more details.
