Peek-A-Boo--PETSMART's Story...
UPDATE--You can now meet Peek-A-Boo in person at the Muncie PetSmart. Peek-A-Boo is a sweet girl. Her approximate date of birth is 11/14/09. She is a shy girl but very playful, loving to play with almost any toy she can find! She does very well with most other cats and seems to prefer to be with at least one other cat, as long as the other cat is not a bully. She is easily intimidated and will hide when nervous. She loves canned food and that helped her learn to trust the people in her foster home. She was adopted from us in April 2010, but unfortunately, was returned in May 2011, because her adopter lost her job and home. She did well with the adopters teenage children and very docile, cat friendly dog. At the time of adoption, she had a chronic problem with her left eye. She was sent home with eye ointment and her new mom was consistent with treating it, however, at the time of her return to our program, our vet felt that the eye had gotten worse and that it would be better for Peeky's overall health to have the eye removed. That procedure was completed and she is doing very well now. She needs a new home with people who will be patient with her and give her the time she needs to settle in. You won't be sorry...she is a really great kitty!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peek-A-Boo--PETSMART, a Muncie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Muncie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Muncie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Muncie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Muncie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Muncie paves the way for another one to be saved.
