Jen Jen's Story...
JEN JEN
4 yo Female Tabby & White Maine Coon Mix

Although we are calling her a mix, she could very well be a pet quality purebred. She comes from an area where we were seeing LOTS of Maine Coons in the local shelters about the time she was born. Regardless, she's one beautiful cat. Jen Jen was being fostered in Redding,CA where she had lived most of her life as an indoor/outdoor kitty. We think she would adapt well to being an indoor only cat, but are also fine if we can find her a safe indoor/outdoor home. Jen Jen gets along well with other cats. She loves to be petted. Jen Jen can be brought to Lincoln or to Vacaville for an approved adopter if transporting her closer will help her find a new home. We would also be thrilled to find a foster home nearer to the Bay Area so she can have a better chance of finding her forever home soon. Jen Jen is currently being fostered in Southern California.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jen Jen, a Davis Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Davis, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
