Hi, I‘m Buck, a fawn, one year old male Shar-Pei rescued from a Georgia shelter. I had a pretty rough start in life. I was reportedly in an auto accident and hurt my leg. My family did not want to pay vet bills, so I was surrendered. The nice rescue folks took me to have my leg looked at and found out that I had also been shot! Thankfully the rescue folks are showing me what it is like to be loved and cared for now, so all of that is behind me.
I am a really sweet and well-behaved little Pei. I am a lovebug and a gentleman. I love hugs and to be scratched on my chest. I walk fairly well on a leash and am a very good boy in the house. I am crate trained and do well in the crate, but I would rather be with my foster family. As for cats...well I showed a lot of interest in the cat and bark when I see her, so maybe a home without cats would be best. My Foster Mom said “Buck is the BEST FOSTER DOG EVER!!!!!” and “Buck is going to be a wonderful companion for whoever adopts him.” That‘s pretty good since she has fostered lots of dogs!
I have moved up to New Jersey and have been neutered and had my entropion surgery. Wow! I can see! I am living with a bunch of other Pei in my foster home and get along well with them. I am all ready to go and would love to find my “furever” home. Because of my previous injury, I am probably never going to be a runner...I‘m more of a walking, snuggling kind of Pei. Are you looking for a little Pei to hug?
If you are interested in adopting me, please
