My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Keegan and his brother and sister were found running on a country road by a school bus driver. She picked them up and called our rescue. They are aprx. 5 mo. old and are now beautiful pups. They were skinny and wormy when they first came to us. Look @ them now! They are very friendly, love attention, especially belly rubs. Keegan plays well with the other pups in the pack. He is the most laid back of the 3. He prefers to lay at your feet, or next to you on the sofa and will stay there all day, if you'll let him! He comes to you for attention and will lay his head on your chest asking for a good ear rub, or chest rub. They have worked their way into my pack of house-hounds. The 3 pups taught themselves the doggie door. They are doing very well with house training. Due to the breed's hunting instincts, they will only go to homes with a fenced yard.

They in foster care in E. TN and will be transported north to their forever homes by Alpha Dog Transport or All Paws Transport. They charge $125 for their services when the pup is claimed at one of their northeastern stops. They will also hand off all the dog's vet/shot records at that time.

Keegan has had 3 parvo/distemper shots and a bordatella vaccine. He is neutered and has had a rabies shot. His coat is shiny and soft as silk. He is quite "petable"!

Pups as young as this cannot be left unattended for more then 3 hours @ a time. This is important for socialization and house training. Young pups can only go to home with small children where the family is "puppy savvy" and has boundaries for both the puppy and the children. We prefer to place our young pups in homes where children are at least 5 years of age.
