Chelsea's Story...
Chelsea is a goofy, extremely sweet, active and loving, 10-month-old, 40-pound, female, dark chocolate and white terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Found as a stray in Granite City, Illinois, Chelsea gets along well with other dogs and adores people, but she hasn’t had a lot of training in commands yet. Some of the volunteers who walk her say she’s part dog and part jumping bean because she is so fun and has so much energy. Chelsea is healthy, de-wormed, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. To meet and possibly adopt her, contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. She is currently living in a foster home in Chicago.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chelsea, a Chicago Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
