Rusty's Story...
This gorgeous senior boy is named Rusty, but there is not a rusty bone in his body. He is one of the most active and energetic Goldens we have been blessed to have with us. Rusty, estimated to be 11-12 has had one owner since he was a puppy and now his owner is very ill and unable to care for him which is breaking her heart. Rusty is good with cats, dogs, children, adults, toys, car rides…EVERYTHING. He deserves a home a with a Mom or Dad who truly appreciate the love, loyalty, wisdom and fun loving nature a senior Golden boy offers.

If you are interested in adopting our red boy, please contact us by email at GoldensInNeed@aol.com. Please note that the very first and required step in our Adoption process is for our Adoption Application to be downloaded from our website www.gcgrr.org, completely filled out and returned.

We are located in Charlotte County, Florida and service the coastal communities of Southwest Florida from Naples-Tampa. If you are not located in the above stated areas we serve, or are not sure, please email us first to see if we are able to process an Application from your area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Murdock Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Murdock, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Murdock.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Murdock already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Murdock breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Murdock paves the way for another one to be saved.
