Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bab is looking for a very special home. At seven years old he had lived within a laboratory research facility until he was rescued by BRL. His foster mom reports that Bab has made tremendous strides since his release date. Bab is house trained to a schedule and has learned to use a doggie door as well. He is comfortable sleeping in his crate at night (or just for short cat naps!). He gets along very well with the 3 other dogs in his foster home but could adjust nicely as an only dog.
Bab will need to find a very patient owner who understands that he is a reactive dog - lots of things are a sensory overload for him (sudden movement, loud noises, strangers). Because of that we are recommending no small children. He has not lived with cats so to be extra safe a cat free home is probably best. Bab is a smaller sized beagle with a gentle personality. With proper handling and a good understanding of how to live happily with a fearful dog, we're confident that Bab's progress will continue until he finds a home of his own.
