My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BEAGLE PUPPY TRAVELS WEST?

Just think, I traveled from New York to Rockford, IL to find my forever home because I heard the Midwest has the best homes a Beagle could ask for!

Oh by the way, I'm Moe (Moee).I'm six months old, tri-colored and I weigh about 18 pounds. Foster mom says when I get full grown I'll probably weigh in between 25 and 30 pounds. She says I'm built like my foster sister, Lea, who weighs just about 30 pounds.

I know you would like to know more about me, so here it goes: I’m crate trained (took some doing, but we did it).You see from the day I was born, I lived in a cage in a pet store in New York and I really wasn't too happy to have to go in a crate, but foster mom worked with me and made it an enjoyable place.I don't sleep in a crate at night though, I have a doggy bed with my blanket and toys that is next to foster mom's bed. I’m almost house trained. I just haven't figured out how I'm supposed to tell foster mom when I have to go out, again, we're working on that.

I love dogs, cats, people and kids and I love to snuggle next to foster mom when she sits down to watch TV or read a book. She says she becomes a Beagle sandwich with 3 Beagles snuggling with her and one cat.

Ok, so for my wonderful forever home, here are my wishes:

A family with kids would be perfect. I love to play and run and cuddle with kids.
If no kids are around, I definitely would need another dog
Medium crate
Fenced yard would be good too because I really love to run and play. However, if no fenced yard is available, at least regular visits to the doggy park and even day care so I can play with other dogs.
Foster mom says that considering I didn't have much interaction with people during my time in New York, I've adapted beautifully to my new surroundings and she feels I'll adapt just as easily to my new forever home. She says I'm a good boy who has the normal Beagle habits (counter surfing as an example) but she says I make up for it with my sweet disposition.

If you would like to meet me, check the website to see which Petsmart adoption event we'll be going to or contact your adoption counselor who will contact foster mom.
