Hello Families I'm Bailey Boy! I'm a male Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever Mix who is almost 2 years old, my birthday is November 26! Unfortunately my family had to call SCLRR because they had to move and couldn't take me with them. So I moved into my foster home a couple of weeks ago and have enjoyed my time here. I have a big foster brother who is also a lab, and a little foster brother who is a Jack Russell, so I get along well with all dogs. There are also small children living with me, and I'm good around them, I just sometimes forget that they are little and I've knocked them down a couple of times. So if your family has small children it's best if you just keep reminding me to be careful.
I know the commands sit and lay down, however, I usually have to be told more than once, so you'll need to be a bit firm with me and you'll need to teach me my leash manners. I am very trustworthy in the house, and haven't chewed anything while I've been staying with my foster family and I'm completely housebroken too. I have a crate that I stay in if I'm going to be alone for a long period of time, but as long as there's a bed in there for me I don't mind. In fact, I often lay down in my crate during the day when I want to rest.
I'm an all around happy boy, and I'm a bit goofy at times. I'm affectionate and I love to have belly rubs! I love to play outside and if you want to throw a ball around for me I say have at it! You'll have to teach me to bring it back to you for another turn. My absolute favorite thing is the whole world is to carry a stuffed toy around, so I'd love 1 (or more) for my birthday. I'm very excited to meet my new family and I'm hopeful that the right one will come along for me soon so that I'll be able to celebrate my second birthday with them. So if you're exited to meet me too, please call your family rep right away!
