Hillary's Story...
Hillary is a gorgeous, calm and extremely sweet, two to three-year-old, 60-pound, female, Black Labrador Retriever with a cropped tail looking for a loving guardian. Found as a stray in Granite City, Illinois, Hillary looks like she had a recent litter. She knows the command sit and takes treats gently from your fingers. She loves people but is selective about her dog friends. She can be stubborn, so shes best with an experienced dog-lover as the only dog in the home.

Hillary is healthy, de-wormed, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped and heartworm-tested. Her adoption fee of $200 benefits rescued dogs. To meet and possibly adopt her, contact Melia at melia88@comcast.net or 708-224-1900. She is currently living in a foster home in Chicago.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hillary, a Chicago Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
