Loki's Story...
Loki is one of two rescued by a snake rescue. Loki and Clyde were donated as food for a snake rescue in Western WA. They were pitifully skinny and poor Loki was suffering from some sort of upper respirtory problem. That rescue donated them to the ferret rescue foster home. She in turn had them transferred to Eastern WA. Loki - then Ducky - would wheeze and cough at the Western WA home. After transport to Eastern WA, he has since not had those same issues. He must stay in a dryer climate as his allergies act up horribly in damp areas. His teeth were cleaned in May 2011 and he has become so much more friendly. He needs patience and understanding as he is still not used to being held. He gets along good with other animals. We do not recommend him for a household with young children. Unlike Clyde his coat is not extra long but he has an extra long tail.
One fun fact about Loki is that he can jump straight up in the air to get your attention!

About Our Rescue Group...
We are a very small in-home ferret rescue and rehab center. Our main goal is education then adoption. All our ferrets are treated as though they were my personal ferrets. We take in ferrets who require emotional and medical assistance. Or will work with the owner and assist them with their ferret.
I have been doing small rescues of all types of animals through the years. Ferrets have been with me for 5 years and I really started taking in and placing more when I became friends with a new person to the area who had too many ferrets.
We all consider this ferret-math. They multiply like rabbits but without the pregnancy part.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We are located in Spokane Valley nearest Pines and Sprague. Since we work I take visitors by apointment only. We hope to soon join the local fairs in 2012.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Loki, a Spokane Valley Ferret was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Ferret for sale in Spokane Valley, or seeking a Ferret from a breeder in Spokane Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spokane Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spokane Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Ferret breeders who help with Ferret rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spokane Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
