Victor's Story...
Meet Victor. He is a wonderful little male 4 year old Silkie Yorkshire Terrier with a stripe of pink hair on his head and boy does he love all the attention he gets for it. He weighs about 10 pounds

In his world there is nothing better than a good round of belly rubbing just before falling asleep next to his foster mom - or really any kind of petting any time of the day. He is such a loving little boy and he will try to sneak in a kiss if you are not paying attention to him. While he really enjoys going for energetic long walks or playing in the dog run he also knows how to relax fully when he comes back home. All in all a perfect little pooch who will be a fantastic addition to any family.

He is very sweet and gentle and and love other dogs and cats

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Victor, a Long Beach Silky Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Silky Terrier for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Silky Terrier dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Silky Terrier breeders who help with Silky Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
