Mikey's Story...
Mikey(male)
Hi! My name is Mikey and I am a male, 10 week old Orange Tabby kitten. I am very sweet and love to cuddle. I weigh about 2 pounds right now and am litter-box trained, not fixed, and up-to-date on my shots. If you're looking for a great cat, look no further because I know you'll be pleased with me! Unfortunately, I have to find a new home because my owner is moving and can't take me. If you would like to meet me, please call Ashley at 318-548-7653. There is a screening process to adopt me and my adoption fee is a suggested donation to Pet Savers of $30 for their help in rehoming me and to help assure I go to a good home. Once you adopt me, PLEASE get me spayed/neutered to help control the HUGE overpopulation and euthanasia rate in this area. Robinson's Rescue low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic (Shreveport) offers special low-cost pricing for spaying and neutering. Call 318-861-0101 for your spay/neuter appointment ONLY, not about me!

IMPORTANT NOTES! Unless otherwise indicated, this animal is in the SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER, LOUISIANA (or surrounding) area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mikey, a Haughton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Haughton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Haughton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Haughton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Haughton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Haughton paves the way for another one to be saved.
