Zena's Story...
Zena is 7 months old miniature dachshund & pomeranian mix. She's a slight 6 pounds and loves to run, wrestle and play with the other dogs, big or small, Zena doesn't care. She's fearless. She loves to play with the cats too. We have one very dog-friendly cat and the two of them will wrestle. It's quite a site. She never met a stranger and gets along with everyone. She's filled with joy and love and would make a great addition to any family. Because she loves her siblings sooo much, if the family is away from the home during the day, she would love to be in a family with another pet to keep her company.

Zena is updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zena, a Houston Dachshund/Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Pomeranian for sale in Houston, or seeking a Dachshund/Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Pomeranian breeders who help with Dachshund/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
