Jayden's Story...
JAYDEN is a DMH orange white tabby male approximately 2 years of age. Shy most of the time, loves to get attention on his terms. He is a very sweet boy and gets along great with his fellow roomies. Plays and purrs when is comforable in his surroundings. Loves the laser light. Would probably do better in a quieter home without small children and dogs. Would love to go into a home with another cat as would not do well as an only child.

About Our Rescue Group...
I have been involved in cat rescue most of my life. When I was a child I was always bringing strays home and it broke my heart when my parents would make me find a new home for them. It takes some people years to figure out their purpose in life and I discovered mine at an early age...cat rescue. I do it to try and make a difference in a cats life and to educate people on the importance of spay/neuter. I was with Friends of Pets for 10 years where I did cat rescue, foster and adoption as well as other volunteer duties. I left Friends of Pets in 2001 and co-founded the rescue group, Kitty and K-9 Connection. I was a director for 10 years, the past four as President, where I did everything there is to do in a non-profit animal organization which included rescue, foster and adoptions and that is what I am doing today.

Our Adoption Process...
If you fine a cat you are interested in, an adoption application is done. Once reviewed and processed, a time is set up for potential adopters to meet the cat. If all works out then the adoption contract is done and a trial period begins to make sure everyone adjusts. There is an adoption fee of $120.00 for adult cats and $150.00 for kittens, and home visits may be required. The standard adoption fee of $120 gives you a cat that has been examined by a veterinarian, feline leukemia tested, spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. If a cat comes in with additional medical needs, ie, dental, broken limb, ear mites, worms. etc. those needs will be addressed and the cost of the adoption is still $120.
