Bones's Story...
Bones is a sweet female Spaniel mixed breed. She is precocious, adorable and innocent, rolled in soft luscious fur. She is very petite and was found in Oklahoma as a stray by one of our volunteers, while working there. She weighed 8 lbs and was 5 months of age. She was skin and bones. She is now filled-out and a very healthy 18 lbs. She is current on all her vaccines, spayed, dewormed and microchipped. She is very dog social and seems to love all dogs she meets. She does very well with children too. She is so happy to be with people, she will be a great companion.
If you are interested in adopting this petite pint (or any other JCAPL pet), please complete an application and either email it to the Webmaster@jcapl.org or fax it to (919)300-5524. You may download an application from the website at www.jcapl.org. There is no obligation by sending in an application, but we process them in the order received. We do not facilitate adoptions over the phone.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bones, a Smithfield Spaniel (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spaniel (Unknown Type) for sale in Smithfield, or seeking a Spaniel (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Smithfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spaniel (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Spaniel (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
