Mya's Story...
Mya is a beautiful blue and white pit mix. At only 25 pounds, she is way under her ideal weight. Taken from BARC, as so many of our dogs are, Mya is a product of the careless breeding, that is so prevalent in the city of Houston. Every year thousands of dogs are euthanized because people don't spay and neuter their pets. Sadly, we can save only a small portion of these dogs. Mya is a sweet girl, gets along with other dogs, is crate trained and loves people. Help us find Mya her permanent home and please remind your friends to spay and neuter their animals.

Mya is around 2 yrs old and about 25 lbs. Updated on shots, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mya, a Houston American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Houston, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
