Ruby's Story...
If you are interested in a puppy from this litter, please see our website for an adoption application at www.lovebugsrescue.org

Sparkling Jewel and her gems, Sapphire, Amber & Ruby were looking forward to a fabulous red carpet event. Much to their dismay, the limo driver took a wrong turn and they ended up in the Riverside Animal Shelter covered in hundreds of stick fleas. The fleas were so bad we had to rush them to our vet for them to be removed. Now in their foster home, they are getting polished to perfection so they will be ready to make a grand entrance in their forever homes!

Mom is an adorable mix of Italian Greyhound. It looks like dad must have been a Queensland Heeler although Jewel is not one to kiss and tell… We expect these pups to be in the 20-30 pound range when fully grown. They are currently about 7 weeks old and will be ready the end of October 2011.

Our adoption fee for pups is $300 and includes their spay, microchip with lifetime registration, vaccines to date, treatment for worms and best of all, lots of puppy kisses!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Irvine Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Irvine, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Irvine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irvine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irvine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irvine paves the way for another one to be saved.
