Sonic's Story...
Sonic is an energetic, enthusiastic Rat Terrier with boundless spirit! He is a little over a year (born September, 2005). Sonic gets along well with other dogs, and he is very playful. Food is a very strong motivator for Sonic, so he is easily taught tricks. Sonic tolerates children, however a home without children would be best. He has been vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. Taking walks and snuggling with a special person would be like heaven for Sonic! Consistency in his home life would be important for this little 18 pound guy. He kennels up when his family is not home because he can sometimes get into mischief, but at night he prefers to sleep with his favorite person under the covers. Sonic does fine with cats, although he does think they are a toy to be played with and chased. Sonic is house trained and will sit by the door when he needs to go out. To meet Sonic, please call 507-451-4512. His adoption fee is $145. (TK)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sonic, a Owatonna Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Owatonna, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Owatonna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Owatonna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Owatonna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Owatonna paves the way for another one to be saved.
