My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Montgomery is a an absolutely adorable mini Shepherd-mix that is looking for a loving forever home to call his own! Montgomery is a young boy that is about 3 years old and is very much on the petite side only weighing about 40 pounds. Sadly, this little guy and his brother Murray (who is also available for adoption) found themselves homeless at a kill shelter where they were going to be euthanized, but thankfully Lucky Dog was able to save their lives and give them them chance to find new loving homes to care for them the way they deserve.

They must have been loved and cared for prior to their abandonment because they are nicely trained and loving. They are housebroken, crate-trained, sit automatically if they think you have a treat, know the command down, walk well on leash, and ride nicely in the car. They have the perfect amount of energy; they like to play, but settle down nicely in the home and love to cuddle.

Murray and Montgomery play really well with other dogs and are currently living at doggie daycare where they play with a roomful of dogs at a time. They also appear fine with cats. They are healthy, neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, de-wormed, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. If you are interested in fostering or adopting these boys, please contact their foster mom Sheri at sheri@petraits.com or 773-777-2891. Their adoption donation of $200 each, or $350 as a pair benefits the rescued dogs of Lucky Dog Rescue.
