My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a dog to guard your junkyard, just keep right on looking. If you're looking for an attention hog addition to a loving family, though, I might be your boy. I am not a fighter (though I've been told I look the part.), I am a lover. (albeit altered.) I am about 2 ½ years old beautiful blue young man. My ears are cropped and my tail docked. My turn-ons are snuggling, warm places, long walks, long car rides, overeating and world peace, but especially the first five.

Zeus is demonstrated good with children 10 – 16. Works and plays well with a small dog. Not tested with larger dogs, but should be fine. Fully housebroken. Loves walks, but needs some work in heeling. Has learned “sit,” “down,” and we are working on “stay”. He can be very playful, but so far no chewing. His coat is brittle, but should improve with proper diet and shampoo over time.

Zeus was in boarding for a long time and his manners have deteriorated, but are improving daily. His head is exactly the right height for counter-surfing and he will stretch his long neck as necessary. He has a terrific appetite, but his portions must be moderated to prevent stomach distress. He gets really excited when he is about to be fed. He suffers somewhat from separation anxiety when the person to whom he is bonded has to leave the house. I would recommend he not be routinely be crated for long periods and this should work since he is not a chewer. His separation anxiety may be a result of his being locked up too long and may moderate over time.
