March 1, 2007: Meet Bobby! Bobby is a 9 week old GSD/Bernese Mountain Dog (best guess!) mix. He and his litter mates were abandoned at a vet's office by their owner. Since an animal hospital is no place for babies to grow up, they called rescue to step in and help the little guys.

Billy has a roll with the punches attitude. He's just as happy following as leading, as long as there's some fun to be had along the way. Like his litter mates, he is a very affectionate and loving pup, and is not at all intimidate by the larger dogs in his foster home. We'll post more about Bobby as he settles in at his foster home and we get to know him better.

Bobby is utd on routine vaccinations, flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. He has also been neutered.

Bobby must go to a home where he will live inside as an important member of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bobby, a Brattleboro German Shepherd Dog/Bernese Mountain Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Bernese Mountain Dog for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Bernese Mountain Dog puppy from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Bernese Mountain Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Bernese Mountain Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
