I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Tessie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.

Tessie's Story...
Tessie is a very special individual. She is an outstandingly beautiful, 3 yr old spayed Mastiff. She weighs 115 lbs, RV & DHPP: 02/19/11, housetrained, timid with strangers and LOVES to walk (jog at her pace)
Tessie is believed to have a history of abuse. All interested adopters are recommended to have experience handling abused, aggressive pets. She will require a home without other animals and children. She has a history of aggressive behavior but no bite incidents in humans. Her socialization and personality is improving every day at the clinic. With the right home, treatment and patience, we feel she will grow out of her fear. Due to her special needs and her size, it has been hard placing her in a new home and this is her last chance before possibly being put down. Interested adopters can call Cass Veterinary Services (217) 452-7292, ask for Lindsey, and advise receptionist you are calling regarding the adopt-a pet ad.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessie, a Roodhouse Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Roodhouse, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Roodhouse.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roodhouse already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roodhouse breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roodhouse paves the way for another one to be saved.
