Tiger's Story...
"Howdy there...my name is Tiger, and I am a Lab mix guy. I have a beautiful coat, and I have these stripes, which kind of makes me look a little bit like a tiger! I'm really not a tiger; just a really sweet and loving fellow who is in need of a new home. Everyone says how beautiful my great markings are, and I think they are very handsome indeed. Even though I'm a large fellow, I am very gentle and obedient. I have short hair, so I am one of those easy care guys, and if you gave me a bath, I'd be dry in 5 minutes! I really love going for walks, and I enjoy playing ball in the great exercise yards they have for us here at the shelter. We are really lucky, because we do get out of our kennels a few times a day, and we can run and play I too am in need of new forever home, with a large yard, where I can exercise and play during the day, and then at night I can settle down in the house on a snuggly dog bed, so I can be close to my person or my people. I have dreams just like all the other animals at our shelter do, of a new forever home with a person or people who will love me and take care of me FUREVER. Please ask to meet me when you visit the shelter...we just might be meant for each other. Let's find out. See ya soon. Love, Tiger". Kennel #23

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiger, a El Cajon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
