Wendy's Story...
THESE PHOTOS WERE TAKEN IN OUR BARN WHERE WE FIRST CARE FOR THE ANIMALS UPON THEIR ARRIVAL- give them a physical, vaccinate, worm and care for them for 10 days until they go to a foster. We quarrantine each baby upon their arrival to guarrantee the health of our Barkaritaville pets. Each pet comes completely vetted, microchipped and our rescue pays for the first month of Shelter Care Pet Health Insurance.

Wendy is a typically fun-loving puppy! She loves people and her siblings Leo, Woofy, & Lenya (we believe that these babies have different daddies!). They were in pretty sad shape when they came to us. We have almost totally healed their skin. They have been wormed and vaccinations started. They has had negative skin scrapings. Their coats are filling in, all wiry and shiny as they should. They were born approximately November 20, 2006 making them (as of 2-28) 12-13 weeks old and have great socialization skills. They're speutered and have age-appropriate shots. These babies need a loving home!

To complete an adoption application for any of our babies, please visit www.barkaritaville.org and we will get back to you in two shakes of a puppy's tail!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wendy, a Sterling Heights German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Sterling Heights, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Sterling Heights.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sterling Heights already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sterling Heights breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sterling Heights paves the way for another one to be saved.
