Houston's Story...
I was found running in a field with two other dogs. When x-rayed, the female dog was found to have buckshot in her sides, so I might have some too. I am still pretty shy, but I'm doing so much better meeting new people and being in new places. I'm discovering that life can be fun instead of frightening.
I will be very loyal after I bond with you. I love to take a swim in the creek and run free with you along the trail.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Houston, a Wharton Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Wharton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Wharton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wharton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wharton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wharton paves the way for another one to be saved.
