Zoe's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and not good with cats.

Zoe's Story...
Hi! My name is Zoe! I came to the rescue as a lost pregnant cat in need of help. I had my babies, took wonderful care of them and now they've all grown and found homes of their own. It's my turn! I'm loving and friendly with kids and adults. I'm not too sure about other cats though. It could be cause I was pregnant, then I was caring for my kittens, and now I just don't want to be bothered by other kitties. One of my favorite things to do is perch on the window ledge in the living room and chirp at the birds and squirrels - entertainment for hours. I like being petted and spending time with people. Will you please give me a home of my own? I'm spayed, vaccinated and ready to go. Adoption fee: $60. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter and 30 days of free pet insurance.

    Adoption and Foster Care Application

    Adoption Process:
Complete the application at We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoe, a Troy Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Troy, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Troy.

    1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Troy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
    2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Troy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
    3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Troy paves the way for another one to be saved.
