Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Toby. He knows "Stay". I think he knows "Sit" (he sits whenever he wants something so it's hard to tell if he know the voice command).
He will wait to be told "ok" to jump up on the bed and he will sleep on his bed if he is told to. He is Ok with kids but doesn't seem interested in little kids, better with kids over 10-12. He likes to play with other dogs and would do well in a home with a small dog like him. He isn't shy around big dogs and plays well with a male black lab.
The only time he barks is when there is a perceived threat coming toward us. No fierceness to the bark, just a warning bark. He does not bite, nip or even open his mouth when around anyone. He will give a warning growl first and then a sharp bark if a larger dog is continuing to annoy him. Toby prefers to sleep on a soft fleece blanket (a soft fleece robe will do in a pinch if the blanket is being laundered). Oh he loves belly-rubs.
Overall he is VERY smart, he learns so quickly it is amazing (no, I am not just bragging!). After just a couple of times of repeating something the next time he knows what to do without me telling him. Needs only gentle voice commands to catch onto what is being asked of him.
