Lester's Story...
"Lester" is a golden male mix. He is very playful and loves to run. He is in a foster home with one of his siblings. He is approximately 3 1/2 months old. Lester was abandoned along with 6 other siblings in the country. He is approximately 28 lbs and I would recommend him not be with smaller children. He is gentle, but might accidentally knock a smaller child down. He is Vet checked with his 1ST puppy shot and wormed. He is to young to be neutered, but TN state law requires he be neutered within 30 days of maturity, (6 months old). Lester is a beautiful dog with a wonderful personality and listens very attentively when spoken to. He is ready for a good home. He is not house broken as of yet, but promises he'll do his best and become house broken as soon as possible, because he's very smart.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lester, a Yorkville Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Yorkville, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Yorkville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yorkville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yorkville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yorkville paves the way for another one to be saved.
