Heather 6 mo's Story...
I am an adorable fun loving little puppy. Six months old and growing, but I am very small for my age, so I might be a tiny mini schnauzer when I grow up. I love to play, cuddle,be petted, romp with the other doggies here. I am about 6 months young and have been spayed, and vet ready. I am the best of both worlds, a young puppy and yet old enough to be spayed before adoption and not as fragile as a tiny pup so the kids can play gently with me now.. This saves you $$$$. I am also microchipped and it is prepaid to register I am starting to feel like I am a real bargain dollar wise, but the real treat is for you, cause schnauzers are very wonderful pets. They don't shed however they do need groomed every 6 weeks. They are smart and learn quickly, and they love to be spoiled and know how to talk to you to get all that extra special lovin. Heather is a light grey and white mini schnauzer. Docked tail and cropped ears.

Heather's adoption fee is $325 and included all the vetting below and spayed.
Heather is being fostered by John & DD in Canton Oh area. About 6 months young and lbs. She Is MICROCHIPPED and prepaid registered.

Most of our dogs need a sibling furkid, someone to play with and interact with and continue to learn being a pet after adopted. Some are independent and can be an only dog. Not all need a fenced in yard, but if you don't have a fenced in yard, we ask you to purchase an exercise pen so that the dog can be safe when outside and small dogs can not be tie out dogs. This pet would do okay as an only pet to start.
Not all our dogs are totally house trained at the time of adoption. We crate train them and some potty pad train them and work on potty skills. When your application is approved, you will speak with the foster Mom for more information and you can check then at what point each foster dog is at. Dogs learn quickly and most are pretty far along or trained by the time of adoption.

____ has been examined by our vet, had a 5/1 annual shot, a rabies shot and tag dewormed, heart worm tested and passed. Spayed or Neutered before adoption. Our rescues are on flea/tick and heartworm monthly preventatives in season. We also do a dental if our vet deems it necessary which is included in our adoption fee.

Our adoption fee covers all vetting expenses and sometimes a small donation to cover the dogs food and care, toys medicines and supplies while in foster care.

We send your new dog home with a copy of all vet paperwork, adoption papers, a small bag of the dog food they have been on and information on taking care of the dog. Also a health folder for your vet and notes from our foster mom on their schedule, habits and socialization skills.

We do adopt our rescue dogs to adjourning states and some others within driving distance of the foster family. We DO NOT SHIP OUR DOGS--the adoptive parents must meet the dog at the foster mother’s home. This will give the adoptive family a chance to meet the dog before they adopt it. Our dogs are fostered in NE Ohio and surrounding area in private homes we are not a SHELTER! You must apply and make an appointment to meet with the foster family and at their home location above in the description. Before you apply, please be sure you can come within 2 weeks after your application is approved to adopt your rescue dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heather 6 mo, a North Benton Schnauzer (Standard) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in North Benton, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) puppy from a breeder in North Benton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Benton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Benton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Benton paves the way for another one to be saved.
