My name is Dougy, and I am looking for a new family. I’m about 20 months old, neutered and I have had all of my shots and am micro chipped too. I weigh around 10lbs, and am house trained, although I can sometimes have a few accidents the first few days until I learn your routine and rules. I do like children who are not too young and are respectful of my size and who are gentle; it’s great to have more than one lap to curl up on anyway! I love to give kisses and cuddle with my humans.

Going for walks is great too, until I see another dog, especially big dogs; they scare me a little, I am wondering if I was attacked by one once. I go crazy barking and want to charge them first, so I need an experienced owner to teach me to relax more. My foster mom uses a spray water bottle on me when I get overwhelmed, I don't like it, but it helps me to stop and listen to her. I have had some professional training too, and they helped me to know that all big dogs are not mean.

I love my toys, and most often like to walk around the house with them in my mouth. Humans think this is really cute - boy can they get sucked in…lol!

If you think that you can help me with my puppy problems and to not be afraid of big dogs on leashes, then please send me a note and maybe we could meet and size each other up. I am so friendly with people and would love a forever home.

PS, they think I am Maltese/poodle mix.
