Agave's Story...
Adoption Pending!!

Hi, I am Agave! I am a one year old, black and tan girl. My ears never came up which gives me that eternal puppy look. I am lean and tall. I was found as a stray in the South Central Valley and no one ever came to claim me. I was really quite scared in there. But, ever since being taken into Rescue, I have loved playing with other dogs. When it is play time, I love to run around and play nicely with other dogs. I am also very happy playing with toys. When it is not play time, I will rest quietly by your side. I love belly and ear scratches.

The people I am with now play with me and I love them and follow them around all the time and trust them. I have done well with young children as well. I ride very well in a car, while in a crate or free on a seat. I know basic commands with food motivation, but will soon know them by command alone! It takes me a bit to warm up to new people, but once I meet them and they are nice to me, then I really like them.

Where I am living now I get along with the other dogs, both male and female. However, these are large dogs; I do not seem to do very well with small dogs. They have not introduced me to any cats however.

I am currently living in at a foster home in Santa Rosa.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Agave, a Fresno German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Fresno, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Fresno.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Fresno already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Fresno breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Fresno paves the way for another one to be saved.
