Buddy Jr's Story...
Hello, my name is Buddy Jr. I’m receiving lots of TLC at my foster home with my friend Tibbie. We came to rescue together from an owner surrender who didn’t have the time to care for us properly. I’m 7 years old, weigh 18 pounds and have been given the full treatment since coming to rescue. My mouth was in terrible shape and I had to have 8 bad teeth pulled when I had my dental and neuter. My family told rescue I lost my left eye due to an infection many years ago. I get around just fine with my good one and my foster Mom is planning on getting me a cool pirate costume for Halloween! I was also updated on my vaccinations but unfortunately I tested positive for heartworms and will have to undergo treatment as soon as I am strong enough! I’m the typical happy go lucky pug and want nothing more than to be close to my humans 24/7! And did I mention I am perfectly potty trained? If you think I would fit in with your family, please ask for me on your application! I am being fostered in the Panhandle and my adoption fee is only $200!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy Jr, a Windermere Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Windermere, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Windermere.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windermere already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windermere breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windermere paves the way for another one to be saved.
