Tiger's Story...

I am a 73lb, 6 year old, beautiful, striped pitbull. Don't let my breed scare you. I am the sweetest dog in the world, and submissive (I wouldn't hurt a flea!). I was rescued by a good samaritan who took me in after my family threatened to put me out on the street.

Even though my last few months have not been easy, I was clearly loved at some point. I am extremely well behaved, love people, and was trained to be submissive around other dogs. I have been temperament tested with other dogs, cats and children, and am completely non-reactive. I will not even snap at another animals when provoked (for some reason my foster dad and rescue mom keep 'testing' me with silly, yappy, nippy dogs). I just look away and hope the other dogs will be nice to me.

I am a very nice boy. Even the vet thinks so! I am 100% housebroken, I don't bark, and I am great in the car. I do pull a bit on my leash, but I am just excited about being outside with my foster dad. He says I am the best dog EVER!

Even though I have had no problems with other dogs, cats, or children (I am very gentle and patient with my rescue mom's toddler), my rescue mom thinks it is best if I go to a home without any other distractions, so (even though she doesn't think it will happen!) I can never get myself in trouble.

I am fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, dewormed, and defleaed. If you are interested in meeting me, please email my rescue mom.

My adoption fee is $300.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiger, a Brookline Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Brookline, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Brookline.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brookline already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brookline breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brookline paves the way for another one to be saved.
