Buddy's Story...
Buddy and his friend, Zoey, were abandoned at a high kill shelter. They've both been saved and brought to this rescue awaiting a new home. He is a cute little guy. He's a mix of Cocker Spaniel and Dachshund, a very interesting look. He is really protective of Zoe. It's so cute. I would prefer they be adopted together but I think they will do fine once they are apart for awhile. Buddy really likes to explore his surroundings and then lay on the sofa, preferably next to his little girlfriend. He can be a bit bossy with the smaller dogs in the rescue. But he's energetic and playful and will make a great addition to the right family.

Buddy's adoption fee is $250. He is current on all shots, Bordatella, neutered, heartworm negative and groomed. If you are interested in him, please email or call for an application. References will be required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Westfield Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund for sale in Westfield, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Westfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
