Ricky's Story...
Ricky is a 2 year old, neutered cattle dog mix with a short black and white coat. He is a happy fellow with a moderate to high energy level and is quick to learn. Ricky adores having someone to give him direction, and wants to do the right thing if someone would just show him how. He is now crate trained, has learned how to walk on leash, and knows “sit”. He would be a fun rally or obedience dog, or just a best friend. Ricky is learning how to play with toys and also enjoys walks with his people. He is good with horses and other dogs, and has shown no food aggression. Ricky could enjoy a canine playmate, but would also be happy as an only dog. Most of all, Ricky would love a home of his own with people who will pet and brush him and spend time playing with him. Ricky is current on his shots and has been microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ricky, a Scottsdale Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
