Annie's Story...
Hi, my name is Annie! You may call me Little Orphan Annie for now... but hopefully not for too long! I was found by my foster mom strolling Lindsley Park in the Hollywood Hills. I came to join the festivities that were going on because it sounded like it was a lot of fun. I’m not sure (or I'm just not saying!) where I came from but I hear Lindsley Park is known as a “dumping ground ”whatever that means. (As if anyone who met me would want to dump me ... not bragging just saying I’m really kinda cute, showy and awful sweet. A fancy dog! As you can see from my photo!) I love to play, eat, kiss, chew and do all the crazy things puppies do.

The vet told my foster mom that I was probably born around the middle of June 2011. My foster mom has cats and they seem fine to me. I’m hoping someone sees my photo and realizes that they can’t live without me. Oh wouldn’t that be special! If you think you can't live without me please fill out an application for me, Annie, today!

About Our Rescue Group...
Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
Come Meet Our Pets...
We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: dogs-$175, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Animal Allies of Texas serves all cities and towns within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex (North Texas area). We restrict adoptions to these areas so that we can do home visits to ensure the best placement for all our animals.
