Gem's Story...
Meet Gem...or Gem Belle as her previous owners called her. She is a sweet 3 year old calico with tiger markings. Gem has lived with both dogs and cats and gets along with both. With the dogs, she will keep her distance when they are playing, but once they have mellowed out, she will come around and love on them. With the other cats, Gem is friendly but may be shy with them at first. It may take her a little time to get used to having other 4-legged friends, but with a little patience, they will be cuddled up together. She has never lived with children but as long as they let her be, she would do fine with them. Some of Gem's favorite past times are laying in the sun, watching the birds and squirrels through the window, sleeping, playing with string toys and talking to her humans. Gem is a creature of habit, she is not fond of change, so a stationary household where she can be confident with her surroundings would be best. Her new home will need to be ok with her adjustment peroid, how ever long that may be. This attractive and loveable calico is looking for her new fur-ever home. Will it be with you? She is spayed, micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines and also litter trained. Visit with her today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gem, a Jackson Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Jackson, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Jackson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jackson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jackson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jackson paves the way for another one to be saved.
