Meko is a happy little dog that just needs someone to love. He is friendly with people of all ages, is good with other pets and would make an excellent cuddle-companion. Meko is house and crate trained and is hoping to find his forever home soon. He is an adult dog approximately 3 – 5 years old and weighs 18 lbs.
Hello, my name is Meko
Do you see how sad I look in the picture? That’s because I have been waiting and waiting for my new family to find me and they still haven’t. At least I got out of jail and am finally in a home but still, it isn’t my home ya know? I don’t mind it here and I do get three squares a day but really, all the mutts seem to be getting their day in the sun but I still haven’t had my photo-shoot yet so how is anyone going to know I am here? I think they are being prejudiced because I am a purebred. Hopefully I will get my turn soon but in the meantime I thought I would just put myself out there.
Things here are okay. I am enjoying playing with all the other dogs in my foster home but I would really like to have more one on one time with people. I don’t mind playing in the yard on my own but I would really like to come in and cuddle with someone on the couch and watch a good movie. I have done everything I can think of to get the people’s attention – sitting cute and quiet, acting bouncy and friendly, giving my best puppy smile, etc. I really don’t know what else to try other than to put this plea out there so my new family can find me and hopefully they will appreciate me more than these so called Rescue people do.
Hey I don’t mind if there are cats in the home, another dog is fine too as long as there is enough attention to go around – I am not an attention hound or anything, I just want a little lovin’. I don’t mind some kids in the home although I really don’t have time to teach little kids not to poke me and stuff so older kids would be best. Even though I am small I am not a playtoy and don’t want to be treated as such! I like to sit in your lap but would be just as comfortable sitting beside you on the couch or lying at your feet. You could even take me to work with you because I can be very quiet and no one would even know I was there. If you do need to leave me at home I will just wait patiently for you to get home and then treat you like a king or queen when you finally get back.
You can see in my mugshot that I am a pretty handsome guy so when you take me out for my walks, you will get lots of attention and feel like a movie star with me beside you. I don’t mind if you bring friends home. I understand that you need that social outlet and I will treat your friends with respect while you entertain. Or, I can go with you to your friends house and find something to amuse myself while you socialize. If they have a dog we can go play in the yard.
I don’t really know much about these command things but if you really want me to learn and think it will do me good then I am more than willing to try. I would expect some kind of compensation for that though like an extra treat or two
Anyway, what I am saying here is that I really don’t want to be wasting time when I could be bonding with my new family. I know you are out there and I feel bad that you are probably searching for me when I am sitting right here just waiting for you. I hope the Rescue people will give me a nice bath so when you first see me I will be looking my best. When you do finally find me, I know that you will fall in love with me at first sight just as I will with you. So, come get me will ya because I am really tired of hanging around this place and just want to get started on my new life with you.
