Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome little guy is Bernie. Bernie was abandoned at a local vet's office after his family found out that his tail needed to be partially amputated and that they would have to pay the bill. They refused to pay. Instead, they say "just put him down," knowing that Bernie is a healthy, loving feline friend!
How sad, but how fortunate for Bernie that this vet cared enough to do the surgery and to keep him until a better guardian can be found - one who will make a real commitment to take care of him in sickness and in health. (I don't know why people who really don't care about animals continue to buy and adopt them when they have no intention of doing right by them.)
Bernie currently is living in a vet cage. The kind and caring vet did amputate part of his tail, but that hasn't detracted from Bernie's natural charm:) Bernie is adorable, and seeks a soft lap to snuggle in. He is sweet, affectionate, and longing for a loving home; a home he has never really had in his short time on this earth.
If you think you can provide a wonderful home for this wonderful kitty, we'd like to speak with you. Adoption of Bernie is contingent upon a completed application, a vet reference, and a home visit by a member of our group.

Bernie is just a year old, neutered, up-to-date with all medical, healthy and sweet as sugar.
