Miley's Story...
Miley is a 2 1/2 year old female pitbull who was pulled from Miami dade animal services. I (Betty) decided to make her my training project while attending dog training school so that she would be the perfect dog once she found her home. She is extremely smart and willing to please. She is a sweet girl who loves to spend time hanging out with her humans but is ready to work when you want her too. She knows how to sit, laydown, watch me, heel, come when called, spin and I taught her to open her crate door when she was just 6 months old. It's been a while since we practiced opening the crate door but with a little practice, it will all come back. She loves kids and loves to spend time indoors just hanging out with her humans. She has moderate energy and likes to go for a couple of walks a day. She's not a backyard dog, she definitely needs human interaction. She's OK with a couple of my dogs here at home but can be reactive to dogs she does not know. She would be better off in a home with no other pets. She loves getting belly rubs too.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miley, a Lutz American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Lutz, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Lutz.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lutz already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lutz breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lutz paves the way for another one to be saved.
