Zippy's Story...
Zippy is a 4 year old neutered male black/tan smooth dachshund. He was turned in by the owner for biting issues. Zippy will growl when you get close to him, but he allows us to pick him up, and he loves to snuggle. He sleeps in bed under the covers and is great with other dogs. Zippy barks a lot.... but we have found it is to get attention. He will bark if you are not paying attention to him. He loves a ball, and loves to play. If you would like more information on Zippy, or would like to fill out an application, contact us at Zippy's adoption fee is $250.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zippy, a Ft. Myers Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Ft. Myers, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Ft. Myers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Myers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Myers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Myers paves the way for another one to be saved.
