Harlequin is a gorgeous fluffy kitty, the most beautiful cat I have ever rescued. He loves to play, likes to nuzzle you, likes to be high up and put his paws on your shoulders to cuddle and wants to be held, but watch his tail, when it flicks he is done and you had better put him down and walk away or he will get bitey. Harley is really best in a multi-cat home where he has other assertive cats to play with. He is happiest when you are in the room with him and ecstatic when you play with him. However, Harley needs an experienced adopter who already has a cat who loves to be cuddled. Though he will ask for petting he can then change his mind on a dime and you then it is best to back off. He loves playing with other kitties, he is both independent, loving and a challenge. Here is a video of him being pet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJNYS9g0GX4&feature=youtu.be
On my way to work one morning I saw a long black "tail" tucked in the tiny crack between 2 buildings where they didn't quite meet up perfectly. I took a second look and realized it was a cat! I was in a rush for work and couldn't stop. When I returned I checked and he was still there, wedged between the buildings, only his tail visible! I grabbed a carrier and with a little food encouragement got him into the carrier. Harley is neutered, tested negative for fiv/leuk, up-to-date on his shots, is litter-trained and loves to play. Still young, I find playing with him with the feline flyer is a great way of using up his energy ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86O0VeHesyE).
He is a wonderful boy for the right adopter. If you would like to meet this beautiful, amazing boy, please contact Claire, EMAIL catskittensnyc@gmail.com or call Eves/Weekends at 718-455-5711.
Thank you for thinking of a rescued kitty. Your tax-deductible donation will help us save the next sweetheart we meet on the street.
Rescue Group Info...
We are a Brooklyn-based group of volunteers committed to improving the lives of animals in distress by working with our communities. We are dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Release programs, finding homes for adoptable animals, performing community outreach and education, and engaging in advocacy.
Please email us at BrooklynAnimalAction@gmail.com if you are interested in meeting one of our rescued cats.
Interested adopters can visit our animals in their foster homes. If they would like to adopt one of our animals, they must fill out an adoption application. If that is approved, they then complete an adoption contract. We also ask for a donation to help us continue our work.
Primarily Brooklyn, New York but also the rest of New York City.
