Sherman was found as a stray and taken to a local city shelter. However, there is absolutely no doubt that he was someone's pet. He is SUPER friendly and sweet. Sadly, no one came to the shelter looking for him. Fortunately, Sherman now has a second chance to find a new forever home. Sherman's foster mom says he has an incredibly easy going and laid-back personality. Nothing seems to stress out this little guy except for long car rides! His foster mom has never even seen him hiss not even once! Sherman just loves everyone! He gets along great with other cats and even dogs. He kindly put him with the annoying antics of a puppy in his foster home. His response to any situation is to just purr! His foster mom says he would be great in a home with kids because he is so tolerant of everything and anything! Sherman is patiently waiting for someone to fall in love with him. He's not one to brag so his foster mom will on his behalf. She says he is the BEST kitty ever! His foster mom promises that he will not disappoint. Sherman can't wait to share his love and companionship with some lucky adopter!

Born approximately on 6.11.11, Sherman is neutered, FIV, Feline Leukemia & Heartworm negative, current on vaccinations & microchipped. His adoption fee is $80.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherman, a Overland Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
