Miguel's Story...
Miguel is your typical beagle. With his nose to the ground and sniffing everything and marking everything in sight, he is the happiest. He would make a great pet, possibly outdoors unless you have a lot of patience with housetraining. This boy would be great for a family that is active and wants a dog to play and run with the kids. He is a nice sized guy with beautiful markings. He may be a good hunting beagle, who knows what he is capable of! Come and check him out at the shelter! Thanks to the Shelby County No Kill Mission, this pet has been/will be altered, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested and micro chipped prior to adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miguel, a Shelbyville Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Shelbyville, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Shelbyville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shelbyville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shelbyville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shelbyville paves the way for another one to be saved.
