Paprika aka Pappi's Story...
Merry Christmas and Pappi New Year

If you are looking for a little spice in your life this holiday season, try a pinch of Paprika. Paprika (aka Pappi) is a young red male who came to us from a local shelter. Due to neglect, he had lost most of his hair from sarcoptic mange and he also had heartworms. But now that he has been treated for heartworms and the sarcoptic mange is gone, his coat has grown back beautifully and his true "spicy" personality has emerged. This handsome 1-2 year old guy is now as cute as a button and never stops wagging his precious long tail. Pappi loves to play with other dogs and enjoys playing with stuffed toys and tennis balls. Because he may have been abused in the past, he is slightly cautious when meeting strangers and would most likely do best in a home with no small children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paprika aka Pappi, a Sugarland Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Sugarland, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Sugarland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sugarland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sugarland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sugarland paves the way for another one to be saved.
