Johnny's Story...
Cali and Johnny are perfectly sweet, fun, happy, outgoing and healthy seven-week-old kittens looking for a wonderful guardian – together or separately. Cali is an active and gorgeous Calico kitten who adores people as well as other cats and loves to climb. Her brother Johnny is white with orange spots; he is equally outgoing and a wonderful companion. They would be great in a home together, or with other cats since they get along with everyone. These kittens were rescued when they were only two weeks old and socialized and adored in a foster home. They will be fully-vetted at three months of age by their current foster mom. Their adoption fee of $100 each or $175 as a pair benefits rescued cats. To meet and possibly adopt these lovely kittens, please contact their rescuer Anne at almaclaren@sbcglobal.net or 773-576-5085.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Johnny, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
